2014 — Piero Atchugarry opens the gallery’s first space in Garzón, Uruguay.

December 2018 — The gallery expands to Miami’s Design District, renovating a 1955, 9,000-square-foot warehouse with architects Diana Boytell and Leonardo Noguez.

January 2026 — La Perla opens in Manantiales, a new 450-square-meter exhibition space.

Our Story

In January 2014, Piero Atchugarry opened the gallery’s first space in Tierra Garzón, Uruguay, driven by a clear artistic vision and a desire to foster dialogue between the land of his origins and the global art scene. The program unites conceptual sensibilities with a distinct emphasis on sculpture and site-specific art. That original space, Tierra Garzón, now operates as a gallery residency.

Since its opening in 2014, the gallery has been dedicated to shaping a vibrant artistic community enriched by cultural diversity and cross-cultural dialogue. It represents established contemporary artists with an institutional approach from Uruguay and Latin America, as well as from all other continents. Today the gallery’s program spans three spaces: Miami, Manantiales, and Pueblo Garzón in Uruguay. The roster spans artists from Brazil, Cuba, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, South Africa, Uruguay, the United States, and Venezuela, reflecting a program built on long-term relationships with artists rather than a single regional focus. The gallery works primarily in the primary market, supporting artists’ practices over time and presenting their work internationally with an institutional approach.

Manantiales — La Perla

In January 2026, we inaugurated La Perla, a new exhibition space in Manantiales spanning over 450 square meters. La Perla presents the gallery’s program in Uruguay and serves as a key operational hub for our work across Latin America.
